On Friday, June 9, 2017 fashion designer, Neville Wisdom unveiled his Spring/Summer Collection at the Corsair in New Haven, CT. The luxury property set the stage for a magical evening of fun, fresh looks from Wisdom’s latest creation. DJ Dooley-O got the party started as guests sipped and sampled food and drink provided by local sponsors: Dashi, Delegna and Mecha in anticipation of the show.
The new seasonal line stays true to Wisdom’s vision of producing ready-to-wear designs that celebrate a variety of female shapes and are accessible to the everyday woman. He continues to take risks and add to his repertoire by incorporating flowing garments, bold colors paired with a neutral palate and lively prints to facilitate mixing and matching. His designs are stylish and express sophisticated elegance for the woman who embraces her body and chooses pieces to flatter her form. The styles are a modern take on classic, ladylike silhouettes with emphasis on fit. Wisdom makes a statement with small details like a drape neck, pleating, a contrasting suit lapel on jacket and split seaming on the pant leg to create movement and ease.
